RUBY NGUYEN
Ruby Nguyen of Year 8 is a talented gymnast, having been a student of the sport since the age of four. She was recently selected to represent Victoria in the Women's Artistic Gymnastics at the 2026 Queensland Border Challenge and participated on 21 and 22 June.
Ruby has had to overcome a significant elbow injury, returning to training earlier this year. Her selection follows a great deal of hard work to regain form, and her efforts were rewarded with a bronze medal as part of the Level 8 Team Victoria. She took great pride in representing her state and wearing the Victorian colours. Ruby continues her training now, striving for selection in the 2027 Victorian State Team. She trains on four apparatus with the uneven bars being a particular favourite.
Ruby’s determination, resilience and commitment to her sport are a credit to her. We wish her well as she undertakes new challenges in obtaining that next goal.
MARLY ERDENEBILGUUN
In 2025, Marly Erdenebilguun participated in the first stage of the Science and English Olympiad. She was awarded gold and silver medals, which qualified her to attend the international finals held in Sydney, Australia, in April 2026.
Now in Year 8, Marly has just competed at the international stage, in Science, English, and Public Speaking, with a focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The NextGen Olympiad was organised by NextEd Australia and involved students from twelve countries. The event was conducted in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and was supported by the United Nations Association of Australia.
Participating students are encouraged to engage with global issues through the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The competition is not only about academic excellence but also about developing awareness of important global challenges such as climate action, equality, and sustainability.
At the event, Marly was awarded the following medals:
A gold medal for Science
A silver medal for Public Speaking
A bronze medal for English
Marly has participated in several national and international academic competitions and has received numerous medals and awards for her achievements. She has a strong interest in science, mathematics, and public speaking.

During the Semester Break, four of our talented cricketers were selected to represent Victoria at the Australian Indoor Cricket Junior Championships. This is an outstanding achievement and reflects their status among the top players in their age groups across the state.

Following their exceptional performances at the championships, both Riva and Neal were selected to represent Australia at the upcoming Indoor Cricket World Championships in South Africa later this year.
We congratulate all four students on their remarkable achievements and wish Riva and Neal the very best as they prepare to represent Australia on the world stage.
