We gained valuable knowledge into how the government works and how certain policies are overall better for Australians. We workshopped many questions designed to challenge these politicians on the ideas of AI in Australian jobs, negative gearing in the budget and how the government is looking to preserve the environment despite the economic challenges it faces, for example.

This experience helped us connect what we have learned in Economics to real-life issues. I found it interesting hearing directly from politicians and understanding the challenges they face when making decisions.

Overall, the experience improved our understanding of how economics works in the real world and how government policies can affect Australians.
