ZADE BAKER-HILL

Last October, we reported that one of our Year 12 students, Zade Baker-Hill received an award for Excellence in Applied Learning from Glen Eira Council, recognising achievements of students in VET, VCE, VM and VPE.

Now a McKinnon alumnus, Zade recently received an Outstanding Student Award from Holmesglen, where he successfully completed a Certificate II in Hospitality. As part of the VCE, VM students complete a VET course, and the award was based on his studies last year.

Congratulations Zade.

ANUSHKA MEHTA

Our congratulations to Anushka Mehta of Year 9 who made her First XI debut for the True Blues in their preliminary final against Melbourne on Saturday.

Her debut caps off a big year for Anushka, who is fresh from representing Victoria in the U16 National Championships and the School Sports Australia U15 Championships.

AIDEN SPECTOR 

Aiden Spector of Year 10 continues to up the medal count after a win at the Golden Power Series, a state-level competition held in Seymour.

It was another large field of Go-Karters with 38 drivers in Aiden’s junior category, featuring very competitive drivers from across Australia. With tricky weather conditions, extreme heat one day and wet conditions the next, Aiden still took the lead and was able to continue leading to secure the round victory.
