THISTLELONIAN ABBY HAYMAN RUNS FOR VERY SPECIAL KIDS

Thistlelonian Abby Hayman (Class of 2025) is taking on the Melbourne Half Marathon in October to raise funds for Very Special Kids, a cause that holds a special place in her heart.

Very Special Kids supported Abby’s family throughout her younger brother Zack’s life. Zack had Tay-Sachs disease, and now Abby is honouring his memory by raising funds to help other families receive the same compassionate care and support.

Currently enjoying a gap year, Abby will begin a Bachelor of Primary and Secondary Education (Inclusive Education) next year.

We’re incredibly proud of Abby and wish her all the best as she trains for race day.
