WELCOME BACK
I would like to welcome everyone back for 2026 including a special welcome to new students and to Year 7s.
Since we have returned to school, library staff have been busy with Year 7 library orientation classes and students getting acquainted with the library space and resources. In that time almost 1000 books have been issued.

VICTORIAN PREMIER'S LITERARY AWARDS 2026
The shortlist for the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards was recently announced.
In the category of the John Marsden Prize for Writing for Young Adults, the short-listed books are:
How to Be Normal by Ange Crawford
Moonlight & Dust by Jasmin McGaughey
This Stays Between Us Margot McGovern
The winners will be announced in March.
VICTORIAN PREMIER'S READING CHALLENGE
The Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge will commence in March. Students who wish to participate, please complete the registration form located on the library catalogue. More information to come.
LIBRARY INFORMATION FOR EAST CAMPUS
Books are available at East Campus for personal reading or wide reading;
The book collection is located on Level 2 at East Campus near the Student Managers' Office;
These books can be read and returned to the shelves when the student is finished;
The collection includes fiction books, nonfiction books and graphic novels;
New books are added to the collection throughout the year.
Book Returns:
Books are to be returned to the shelves when students have finished with them;
Reservations:
The books at McKinnon Road campus library are also available to students based at East Campus. Students may place reservations via the library catalogue. Library staff deliver to East Campus once per week;
Books that have been reserved must be returned to the return box near the book collection;
