MICA REGEV

We are pleased to announce that Mica Regev of Year 10, who currently plays for South Melbourne Football Club, has been selected to represent Victoria in the U16 Blue Squad, and will compete in the Emerging Matildas Championships.

The championships will take place at Valentine Sports Park in Sydney from 15-20 July. Along with the Emerging Socceroos, the event will feature up to 58 teams showcasing some of the most talented footballers from across Australia. 

The championships are a well-known launchpad into national and international competition for future Matildas and Socceroos. (ref: Football Victoria).

TAKETO FUJIMORI 

The Melbourne Athletics baseball team has been notching up some significant wins this year with the proud participation of our Year 8 student, Taketo Fujimori.  

After winning the 2025 Australian Intermediate League State Championship, Taketo’s team recently competed in the 2025 Australian Intermediate League National Championships, where they achieved an outstanding 2nd place finish.

The event took place on the Gold Coast QLD and Lismore NSW, finishing with the gold medal game, which was was held in Melbourne last week.

Taketo primarily plays shortstop, a defensive position which requires excellent range, strong throwing and athleticism to steal bases effectively. 

It was a fantastic experience for Taketo, who started playing baseball only two years ago. We look forward to hearing more baseball news from him in the future.
