ACTING PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

A MESSAGE FROM THE ACTING PRINCIPAL DR RICHARD LONG

As we move towards the final part of the term, I want to congratulate our students on the many ways in which they contribute to our school community.  McKinnon is a very busy place and this provides opportunities for students to grow in their learning and build strong connections with their peers and teachers.

Our Performing Arts department has been a hub of energy and creativity with a lineup of performances over the past few weeks showcasing the many talents of our students.  These performances included, Vocal NightYear 11 and Year 12 VCE Music Nights and of course the East Campus Concert being held tonight.  Well done to the incredibly talented students who took part.

I would like to extend my thanks and acknowledge our staff, but also to the parents, siblings, grandparents, friends, and carers who fill our audiences at these events. Your invaluable presence creates an encouraging and supportive community that allows our students to thrive.

EXAMS

Our Year 10 and Year 11 students commenced their exam period earlier this week. These exams are a key part of our teaching and learning program—not just as assessments, but as opportunities for students to challenge themselves and measure their growth. We know our students will approach these weeks with focus and determination, and we wish them all the best as they strive for their personal excellence.

CORRECTION DAY

Please remember that next Tuesday (June 16th) is Correction Day.  Classes will not be conducted on this day, so students should not attend school; the only exception is VCE students who are completing the GAT.
