A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

It was a pleasure to welcome the Victorian Premier, The Honourable Jacinta Allan MP and local Member for Bentleigh The Honourable Nick Staikos MP to McKinnon last week, to celebrate four years since the completion of our incredible East campus.
As a school and community we are grateful, and we continue to appreciate this state of the art learning facility.

Congratulations to our newly appointed School Council Parent Members: Dr Venesser Fernandes and Tony Ragg and Student Member: Itay Volnerman (Year 10). I look forward to working with you.

We had an unprecedented number of parent nominations, and once again I thank all those that put themselves forward for these roles. We are so fortunate to have such a strong connection with our parent/carer community which cultivates belonging, engagement and inclusivity.
The 2026 School Captain portrait was hung at the McKinnon Road Campus, and I once again congratulate Maleesha Dharmadasa and Angus Booth on their appointment as the senior leaders of our school.

Our Senior School Captains represented McKinnon at a Leadership Conference held at St Leonard’s College on Tuesday. The day featured inspiring lectures and engaging discussions on leadership, resilience, and innovation. Thank you to Assistant Principal Kate Jobson for accompanying our Senior leaders to this event.

The Swimming Carnival was held last Wednesday and was a wonderful success with our students competing and celebrating swimming sports as well as other fun activities.
Thank you to Courtney Hungerford and everyone involved in organizing this incredible day.

Sunday 8 March is International Women's Day. I acknowledge and thank the incredible women in our community. Thank you for continuing to inspire us with your strength, leadership, perseverance and continued commitment to creating a better world.
