SENIOR ROUND ROBIN

On Thursday 20 March the Term 1 Senior Round Robin took place at a variety of venues across South East Melbourne. 

 

Congratulations to the Baseball, Softball, Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls Volleyball and Girls Tennis Teams who have all won through to the Southern Metro Finals next term. Also, Girls Futsal team won but there is no further pathway. 

 

Thanks to all the players for representing the school on the day and the coaches for giving up their time.

INTER ROUND ROBIN

On Thursday 27 March the Term 1 Inter Round Robin took place at a variety of venues across South East Melbourne. 

 

Congratulations to all teams. 

 

McKinnon won almost ALL SPORTS. Well done baseball, softball, boys & girls volleyball and girls tennis. This also goes for wins in the inter boys and girls cricket earlier this term. All teams won through to the Southern Metro Finals next term. 

 

Good Luck to all teams in future rounds of competition.

SOUTHERN METRO REGIONAL SWIMMING FINALS

Monday 24 March saw McKinnon’s top swimmers taking part in the Southern Metro Regional Finals. The day produced some tough competition, but McKinnon once again provided some outstanding results placing 3rd overall as a school.

 

Outstanding individual performances included Oscar Xu (Year 8) (1st for 50m butterfly and 50m freestyle), Amy Zheng (Year 7) (1st for 50m backstroke), Elliot Mulholland Pyle (Year 8) (1st for 50m backstroke), Emma Baldwin (Year 8) (1st for 50m freestyle and 50m backstroke) and Bob Xu (Year 9) (1st for 50m backstroke and 2nd for 200m individual medley).

 

Once again, the relay teams produced some formidable results. Congratulations to the 12-14 female medley team (Emma Baldwin, Ren Wantrych-Go, Emma Tran and Amy Zheng), 12-14 male medley team (Oscar Xu, Elliot Mulholland Pyle, Ruma Lee and Andrew Vu), 12-13 female freestyle team (Ren Wantrych-Go, Amy Zheng, Angle Zhou, Micaela Kelleher), 12-13 male freestyle team (Oscar Xu, Elliot Mulholland Pyle, Andrew Vu and Alex Chivers) and the 14 male freestyle team (Joshua Chan, Ruma Lee, William Sam and Aiden Knox) who all placed first.

Congratulations to all these students and best of luck at the State Finals!
