YEAR 10 INFORMAL

The Year 10 Informal was a highlight event of our school calendar, and this year's theme was Y2K! The atmosphere was absolutely electric, with music blasting, dance battles breaking out, and even the teachers joining in. A huge shout out to the Informal Committee for spending countless hours planning and preparing for the event, as well as Ms Travitz, the organizer, and Mr Abela, our incredible DJ, for making the night so unforgettable.

From the moment we stepped into the venue, it felt like we had been transported straight into the early 2000s. Glittering decorations, neon lights, and Y2K-inspired aesthetics set the perfect scene for a night of excitement. Everyone showed up dressed to impress. Low-rise jeans, metallic fabrics, butterfly clips, and chunky sneakers made it feel like we were living in a throwback music video.

The music was, without a doubt, the heart of the night. Mr Abela knew exactly how to keep the energy high, spinning everything from nostalgic 2000s hits to the latest chart-toppers. The dance floor was never empty, with students forming impromptu dance circles and even some friendly competitions breaking out. The teachers joining in was the cherry on top. Who knew they had such moves?

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the dedication of the Informal Committee. From organising decorations to curating the playlist, their effort and attention to detail ensured that the night was truly unforgettable. Ms Travitz’s guidance helped bring everything together seamlessly, and Mr Abela’s DJ skills kept the party alive until the very last song.

As the night came to an end, there was a bittersweet feeling in the air. We all knew we had just experienced something special. The Year 10 Informal wasn’t just a party. It was a moment we’ll remember for years to come, a night filled with laughter, music, and the best kind of chaos. And to the incredible team who made it all happen; we can’t thank you enough!
