EAGLE’S NEST THEATRE COMPANY PRESENT JANE HARRISON’S 'RAINBOW'S END'
On Tuesday 11 March Eagle’s Nest Theatre Company engaged our Year 12 English Additional Language (12EAL) cohort with a presentation of‘Rainbow’s End’ by playwright Jane Harrison. Students were introduced to five scene excerpts and some participated by acting on stage. Their classmates responded to literal and interpretive questions from cultural educator Shiralee Hood, a Noongar / Gunaikerai woman and James Adler, the company’s artistic director.
Post presentation, both expressed their praise for our students’ participation, responses and analysis.
We thank Eagle’s Nest for their workshop and wish to thank our students for their quality contributions to staging and acting.

YEAR 11 LITERATURE COMEDY THEATRE EXCURSION
The Year 11 Literature classes were so excited to head to The Comedy Theatre on Sunday evening, Sunday 16 March to see And Then There Were None! As the students began immersing themselves in the intricacies of crime fiction for their recent area of study, they were looking closely at one of the genre's most adored writers, Agatha Christie, and were thrilled to have the opportunity to witness live the complexities of her storytelling.
Here are some comments from students about their experience:
I had no prior experiences with Agatha Christie before the performance, but I was delightfully surprised with how it turned out. Both classes chatted with each other during the intermission, trying to guess the identity of the killer. Some of us were right. Some of us were wrong (including me). In any case, it was a once in a lifetime experience that I am glad to have taken part in and the performance is a memory that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
But I will try my hardest to forget the identity of the murderer so that I can experience the story again and again. Literature has been a blast so far and I am excited to journey into crime fiction as part of our next unit. It promises to be a lot of fun.
Finn Steven, Year 11
The play was just great, hilarious, puzzling and entertaining all while being absolutely visually stunning. 11/10.
Lucas Radford, Year 11
We thank the students for coming and were so happy to share the experience with them.
