SUCCESS STORIES

LOGAN ADAMS

Following on from our story last year on Logan Adams’ (Year 12) path at the National Referee Academy, Logan has continued his journey with attendance at the CommBank Emerging Socceroos Championships of 2026.

The tournament’s aim was to refine and develop participant’s refereeing skills and build physical and mental resilience in a challenging and high-performance environment. Young referees gained valuable insight into the standards of officiating at a national level.

Coaches and Observers coached and mentored Logan and 36 other selected referees across Australia.

Logan was assigned to the U16 category as a Referee and officiated across 10 games in a 96-game tournament. He was also able to support the officiating crew on other matches, including the semi-finals, and grand finals.

He was selected to officiate the U16 Quarter-Final between Queensland Maroon and South Australia as the Fourth Official and the 7th vs. 8th playoff final as the Center Referee.

A very exciting and successful progression for Logan.

JENSEN BLUTMAN

We are pleased to report that Jensen Blutman of Year 8 has recently been awarded his black belt for Kando Karate Martial Arts.

After 4.5 hours of gruelling assessment that included skills testing, movement combinations, fitness assessment, strength training and kata (formal, choreographed patterns of movement), Jensen had to participate in hours of sparring to show proficiency in all of these areas.

He has worked very hard to get to this level, training through all the belts since the age of 4.

Congratulations Jensen, a fine achievement.
